when it got bad he started to become softer on Javi, feeling the need to protect him when the fights got loud, he would take him to the baseball field to play catch when things got bad.

his father constantly compared him to the girls on the soccor team he coached, telling him they had more balls then he would ever have.

his dad repeatedly tried to set Travis up with some of his friends daughters, this made Travis uncomfortable as he was never interested in the girls his dad brought by.

one time his father payed for a prostitute on his birthday, telling him he needed to 'man up and stop being a pussy'. he was forced to get a lap dance before he ran to his room and cried.

he got a camera for christmas one year so he became somewhat of a photographer that year, he still takes pictures once and a while but he doesnt have any motivation to do so anymore.

hi anon! hoo boy i definitely have a few! here are some favourites that come to mind:

Unbroken by thedreadslayer

nobody is surprised, yall know i'm a slut for this fic as i've drawn fanart for it multiple times (and still have doodles and full ass comic pages that i haven't shared to tumblr).

This is THE ellabs fic in my mind. The character moments, the dialogue, the settings, the atmosphere... the slowburn is SO well-written. it is basically tlou 3 for me because reading it really captures the feeling of playing the actual games 😭😭 still ongoing but so many chapters to enjoy. There are SO many great key moments (don't want to spoil, but i'm looking at you chapters 10, 17, 21 and 26), but even the small, quiet interactions stand out to me. have admittedly re-read it more than once,,, maybe more than twice,,,

two hands digging in each other's wounds by michirukaioh

i believe this was the first ellabs fic i've read!! and it is a classic. Love this one for the progression of the ellabs relationship, but also for dear sweet lev and his interactions with ellie. Love the big reveals towards the end of the story with a new character that is introduced - keeping it vague because of spoilers. And the beach scene near the end is chef's kiss iykyk.

i've admittedly not been keeping up well with the sequel because i've been super busy and wanted to marathon the whole thing at some point, but would recommend checking it out too! both parts are complete :)

really interesting premise where abby and lev show up in Jackson at the start of the story and we see how all the survivors of tlou2 deal with the fallout. the continuation of the use of abby's dreams as a manifestation of her trauma/guilt was also interesting to me. starts pretty dark and gets even darker as we move further in the story, but still very good all the same. sadly idk if the story will be continued :( one can hope

At least part of it is how fucked up the Gavins' backstory is implied to be. Klavier implies that even up to Turnabout Succession, he was under Kristoph's control in some manner (he specifically asks Kristoph if he's spinning out of his own control or Kristoph's). I've mentioned it a few times but Klavier seems to have had a pretty good opinion of Kristoph during Zak's trial, but that opinion changed at some point before Turnabout Succession's main story, and even during Turnabout Succession's 2026 sections, Klavier's begging for proof that Kristoph attempted murder and commissioned forged evidence, implying even during the 2026 sections of Turnabout Succession, he doesn't want to believe Kristoph's as shitty as he's being accused of being (and this is confirmed when Klavier says himself he wanted to believe Kristoph).

Additionally, Klavier has one hell of a fawn response to Kristoph exclusively. I analyzed it a lot more in-depth here, but basically Klavier defaults to going along with what Kristoph says while Kristoph's on the witness stand. Fawning like that, especially to the degree Klavier does it, is usually a trauma response (it's not always but the vast majority of the time it is, as far as I can tell). He doesn't respond to conflict with anyone else this way; under any other circumstances, he defaults to a fight response (for example, when conflict arises with Daryan, he tends to get into arguments with him, and he's pretty aggressive during both Turnabout Serenade and Turnabout Academy. This results in him taking out his emotions on Apollo and Athena in Turnabout Academy, although Apollo gets the brunt of it). Klavier's fawn response is so intense, in fact, that Trucy and Apollo mention it multiple times.

TL;DR for that specifically, Klavier and Kristoph's dynamic stands out enough as Fucked Up to me that I think there must be some equally as Fucked Up history between them. There could be worse than Kristoph killing his and Klavier's parents, but considering how Kristoph is, I think just Kristoph killing his parents would be enough to irreparably fuck up his and Klavier's relationship, which brings me to his motive.

I actually think Kristoph's motive for killing his parents is similar to what I think could've been Excelsius's motive for killing Eustace's mom (which is just implied but I 100% think Excelsius killed Eustace's mom). It would take away avenues for Klavier to ask for help when/if Kristoph started abusing and/or manipulating him, if he wasn't already (and it's worth noting that there's a pretty decent chance he was, because a kid's formative years are the first 8 years of life).

I also think it's worth noting that red flags for NPD start showing quite early. I think there's a chance Klavier and Kristoph's parents noticed this, then tried to get him help and he refused. I think it's 100% possible Kristoph was so peeved about it that it became a motive for murder (and we know his motives for his crimes tend to be petty or fueled by paranoia. If his parents implied that his behavior was a problem, and he got upset enough, in Kristoph's case specifically it could absolutely become a motive for murder).

Klavier's age might've also been a factor. Kristoph and Klavier are 8 years apart; Klavier's 24 in AJ:AA, and Kristoph's 32. With this 8 year age gap in mind, and the fact that red flags for NPD start showing early, I wouldn't be surprised if Kristoph got jealous of the attention Klavier was getting and killed their parents in retaliation. Why wouldn't he kill Klavier instead of his parents if that was the case? As an adult, Kristoph exhibits a desire to be the center of attention (although to a lesser extent to Klavier), and this trait probably would've been well-developed by the time he was a teenager. Going back to how child development works, your personality is usually fully developed by age 8. Assuming Kristoph embraced the traits he had that negatively impacted other people from a young age, he probably got a lot worse as he became a teenager due to the lack of intervention.

This also brings me back to Kristoph and Excelsius parallels. Excelsius used Eustace to build up his own ego and emotionally abused and manipulated him to keep him close. I wouldn't be surprised if this was Kristoph's reason for keeping Klavier around, especially because this seems to be part of why he kept Apollo around. I don't think Kristoph's reasoning for keeping Apollo around was anything genuine. At best, Kristoph was keeping Apollo around to boost his ego (as Apollo does look up to Kristoph, which is why he's so torn over loyalty at one point in Turnabout Trump) and at worst, Kristoph was keeping Apollo around to genuinely train him for nefarious reasons. Kristoph takes Apollo listening to Phoenix's testimony as a personal betrayal, and tries to emotionally manipulate him into standing down (his specific dialogue there is "Et tu, Justice? You would betray me, your teacher?").

We know Klavier trusted Kristoph, even looked up to him, during Zak's trial; he kept Kristoph anonymous when he mentioned the prosecutor's office getting a tip about forged evidence, and trusted him at his word. Klavier is either the worst judge of character in the entire franchise or Kristoph manipulated him into thinking he wasn't the piece of shit he is.

ANYWAY. Klavier and Kristoph's dynamic is Fucked Up enough that I think something had to have happened at some point to cause Klavier's quite extreme fawn response and I don't think Klavier is that bad a judge of character. We even see how he decides to trust people BEFORE he's betrayed by Daryan or Kristoph, and in Daryan's case, mention is made of him seeing an opportunity and taking it, so it's not like he's a consistent criminal like Kristoph is. Daryan probably didn't have as many red flags, if any, while Kristoph very likely did, and Klavier was conscientious enough to realize something was off about Kristoph knowing Phoenix was going to present forged evidence.

I very much think he could've been motivated by his ego and desire for attention to kill his parents. An 8-9 year old is going to get more attention than a 16-17 year old, and I don't think the chance of him killing his parents and taking in Klavier, who, at the age of 8 or 9, would be a perfect pawn for him, would be lost on him. When Kristoph was a teenager, Klavier was at the right age for Kristoph to essentially be able to shape him into whatever he thought would be most useful to him; in this case, he could've shaped Klavier into someone who wouldn't question him and would essentially go along with whatever he wanted (which could explain why Klavier basically lets Kristoph do his job for him for a time in Turnabout Succession). Kristoph very likely fed off the attention he'd inevitably get from raising Klavier, and Klavier wouldn't (and didn't) realize anything's wrong until he's older.

So basically: my reasoning is Kristoph and Klavier's dynamic being all kinds of fucked up, which includes the implication that Kristoph manipulated Klavier into never questioning him (which I don't think he would've been able to do if their parents were around, although I do acknowledge there could be other explanations for this, such as Kris and Klav's parents being neglectful), and I think Kris's motive would've been a combination of his ego and a desire for attention that he refused to get help for.

After graduating (well sorta) highschool Lane interns with his alma matter highschool to continue his interest in photography. Most guys give up the ‘i’M sO sWeEt, I LiKe yOuR pErsOnAliTy’ facade after a while but he was maintaining it well. Always hyping you up even when you felt like a slob. You also liked how he was so open about his hate for the fire nation. Like many people in your Earth kingdom, Fire Lord Ozai has torn your family apart. Your mother lives in dread and will never say anything negative about him out of fear. 

He was the only person who ever praised you on how brave it was to speak against them publicly. Jet shared the same hate towards the nation that caused both your families so much trauma. This created a deep bond between the two of you. The tension had been running high the past couple times you saw him. Maybe it was all in your head but you’d like to think it was a shared feeling. The way you’d catch him staring with a smile on his face, trying to play it off like he was looking at something behind you. He was standing at the tree you normally meet. 

You hugged him like you normally did, getting on your tippy toes and wrapping your arms around his neck. He chuckled into your ear and picked you up just a little. You practically melted in his arms, not letting go until after he set you down. Once the two of you started talking, you didn’t bother going anywhere else. Simply sitting down at the tree and talking to each other about anything and everything. The conversation eventually grew stale, running out of topics. This seemed like a perfect time to shoot your shot. 

“Maybe this is uh- only on my end but I really like you, a lot,” you laugh nervously looking down until he responds. 

“No, I’m glad you brought it up because I don’t know if I would have had the courage to tell you that like you back,” he laughed, grabbing your hand. 

“But can you actually tell me why you like me without mentioning any of my physical attributes?” you asked. 

“Yeah: you’re really fucking funny and you don’t mindlessly agree with people to make small talk. You speak with purpose. That doesn’t mean I can’t also like you for the way you cock your eyebrow anytime someone says something stupid. Or how perfect your lips look when you’re trying to hide your smile,” you said, which obviously made you smile.

“Just like that,” he laughed. 

“Can I kiss you?” you blurted out, not being able to take the tension anymore. 

“I’ve never kissed anyone before,” he explained nervously. 

“Let me teach you- or, can I kiss you?” you stumble over yours, trying hard not to make him feel pressured or uncomfortable. 

“Yeah, I’m just nervous but I hope it’s not coming off as like- that I don’t want to,” he said. 

Seeing that he was so nervous was endearing to you. The fact that he thought the moment he was too special to mess up made you feel valued. You leaned in and closed the gap between each other. His lips were soft and melted into yours. Brining one of his hands up and cupping your face. It didn’t take long for him to get the hang of things. Becoming more confident and swiping his tongue along your bottom lip. 

Deciding to match his energy, you move yourself into his lap. Now you were holding his face, running your thumbs across his cheeks. Your heart felt like it was racing so fast, it could burst. A warm feeling spreads across your entire body. Both of you were breathing hard against each other's skin. His hands trailed down, running his fingers up and down your hips. Tracing the waistband of your pants, his calloused fingertips making your back arch. He adjusted his hips, allowing you to sit on his lap instead of hovering. 

He groaned into your mouth as his erection brushed against you. Running your hands through his hair as you started rocking your hips against him. The kiss was getting more sloppy; your lips were becoming raw and swollen from the constant nipping and sucking. You pulled back, allowing each other to catch your breath.

Keeping your lips pressed against each other as you focus more on grinding. He was starting to buck his hips up against you, which made you moan quietly against his mouth. Reconnecting your lips and sucking his bottom one into your mouth. Pulling back and letting it go with a loud -pop- sound. Making both of you chuckle, breaking the intensity between each other. He pressed his forehead against your, unable to wipe away his smirk. 

“Was that okay?” he asked, needing reassurance. 

“More than okay, I’m finding it hard to believe it was your first kiss,” you laughed, moving the hair out of his eyes. 

“Okay now you’re just trying to hype me up,” he rolled his eyes. 

You ended up staying in his lap and talked for a while. Despite the fact that it was his first kiss, it didn’t make things awkward after. If anything, you felt like it made him more comfortable with being vulnerable during the conversation. You ran your finger down the bridge of his nose and eyebrows as he talked. Hiding the fact that it amused you when he stumbled over his words. Every now and then you’d interrupted him by melting your mouth against his. 

Going further than a peck and working your lips together for a couple seconds. Laughing because you had to remind him of what he was talking about. After a while he walked you home, hand in hand of course. The entire time he was blushing, biting the inside of his lip; stopping himself from smiling like an idiot. He walked you all the way to the door and kissed your cheek before parting ways.

Personally, my dislike comes from how he handles Misty. Despite being the only adult in the wilderness, he never really steps into that role like he should. Now, yes, his leg is missing and that’s tuff, but I find it a little weird that everyone uses that as an excuse for his behavior. I think he handles Misty very poorly. He obviously clocks that she has a crush on him as early as the 2nd episode if it wasn’t evident pre-crash. He approaches the situation, at first, by ignoring it.

Which is… okay…. Like my big thing is if I was a teacher and I was stuck out there with a bunch of teenagers and one of them obviously has a crush, I’m not going to let her take care of me/walk me to the bathroom/basically do everything for me till we have a conversation about how I am an adult and not attracted to them. It’s actually really easy to have this conversation if you’re not a push-over like he seems to be (refer to him telling Misty he will go to Doomcoming with her after seeing her sad that he said no.)

You just have to be strong in your boundaries and reassure them that it isn’t a personal thing, it’s a moral thing. It is against my morals (and hopefully everyone else’s) to sleep with someone underage because that can cause deep trauma for said minor and mess up their whole outlook on relationships in the future (and it’s gross obvs lmao.) I think we already see that Ben has no problem bonding with the girls if we look at his relationship with Natalie and how he cares for her. He has serious conversations with her about sex and her relationship with Travis, so why can’t he do the same with Misty? Why is it so hard for him to just tell her he has morals?

He could have also admitted it’s a personal thing, ie. he’s gay. Like be fr, you really think Misty wouldn’t love to have a ‘gay best friend’ out there? Musical Theater Misty? Cats lover Misty? Obviously that leads to the problem of having to like, be nice to her, but better than pretending to want a relationship with her.

Now, I want to make one thing clear: I don’t not think Ben is a pedophile/wants to hurt Misty sexually. I’m not insane. He is obviously just making really, really poor decisions when it comes to her. However, this doesn’t change the fact that his actions completely change/mess up her view on romance/attachments. We see in either the pilot/2nd episode her using the same line of thought she uses (when asking Ben to doomcoming) to manipulate a man into coming into her house. A lot of people say she was being manipulative in both timelines, but I think that’s untrue. I think Misty’s disappointment is real in the teen timeline, but seeing how easy it was for Ben to bend to her will cemented that knowledge that ‘men will do what I want if I play sad.’

Also, Misty obviously shouldn’t have poisoned him. Like duh. But I disagree with people when they say she wanted to poison Ben to ‘hurt him.’ I think she thinks that Ben is very latched onto his (fake) belief that ‘society will judge us if we have sex/a relationship.’ He doesn’t really think this, but this is his attempt at trying to get her to leave him alone. But, obviously, Misty takes this as an opportunity to get him to lose his inhibitions. She doesn’t want to hurt him, she wants him to not worry about hurting her. Which like… wow that’s sad. It’s one of the main reasons I hc her as a victim of CSA because I really, really don’t think a ‘normal’ child would have that mindset. She’s been taught that, either by a family member or someone close to her.

He also didn’t help Shauna during the birth. I think people get confused and think that ‘helping’ needs to mean he takes over fully, but it really doesn’t. He could have sat by Shauna’s side and talked her through it, or sat behind Misty/Akilah and kept them focused. Shauna’s baby would have died either way, but that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t have tried. I see people use ‘he was sick’ as an excuse but like… all the girls are. They ate Jackie. Akilah is hallucinating as well. Tai is having sleepwalking issues. Lottie is quite literally in psychosis/off her meds.

Alr so I js rewatched HTTYD 3 and I have some serioussss beef w it

So this is tweaks I would make to improve it :3 (if I was spontaneously sent back in time and made director with full creative control blah blah blah)

First. I would beg tj miller on my HANDS ON KNEES. CLAWING AT HIS TROUSERS to come back as tuff for hidden world. I like his new va but he’s js not ruff :,) - also how is this guy voicing him for the multiple series but not this movie- 😭

Personally, I feel the hiccup and toothless vibe of this movie was js off- granted they did have their adorable bsf bits but ur telling me when hiccup gave him the tale toothless would have just left him like that??? No ty-

And to add to that- while I do love the concept of the light fury, and their black and white aesthetic, I think her hate comes from the fact she was taking toothless away from hiccup and in doing so, away from the series. I don’t blame her- she’s just following her instincts, and she doesn’t realise that the Viking’s are dragons friends here. Idk how exactly, but I’d definitely change that, so the fans blame the light fury less, maybe if we even get a bonding moment with her and hiccup, so she doesn’t seem less like this new character who took toothless away and had bbys w him

Oh yeah- about toothless- I am again going back to the fact that he LEFT HICCUP. LIKE STRAIGHT AWAY. Like sure he had that moment where he hugged him bc he thought it meant forever, but STILL 😭. We’ve grown attached to this dragon for the last 3 movies, and he just leaves like that??? I’d say ooc tbh, and I’d tweak it to make toothless more obviously torn between the two. This might be my fanself speaking, but instead of him like choosing the light fury, and saving hiccup as an afterthought, he could instead see the two equally, and actually have a dilemma about it. It would add to his character and not the past movies feel worthless

Again adding to that- idk if it was just me but I felt so awkward when hiccstrid made it to the hidden world, and toothless left it to save them. I just feel so bad for hiccup, and the movie isn’t giving him any justice 😭😭. Then to make it worse, the fury’s basically get captured, indirectly because of hiccup, which makes the awkward bad feeling even worse. Just imo, but they could have evoked another tone there

Now, this idea has probably been thought about a lot so srry if I’m being oblivious- but at the end- hiccstrid: has 2 kids. Toothless and Luna: have 3 kids. Sequel potential??? Hello???? Like instead of nine realms this is right here??? Nofink has the mainly white one, zephyr has the mainly black one, and the one left can add a little mystery to it, or they can incorporate another character here. It feels like a great setup that they js completely left in the cold

And finally, I rly don’t ljke how the dragons left- (also I am maddd that they only panned to the other riders for a teensy bit. They are the characters we see the most in series and stuff- ans Erik gets more screen time then? I wanna see their raw intense emotions of having their companion leave them). I feel like it was kinda rushed, and the writers could have kept them if they put the effort in.

Like- for me- I would make it so its like- we’ve had the scene where the dragons leave- and now we get a new scene, it’s a few weeks later, and hiccup is doing some chores of whatever on new berk. Then trees rustle and whatever, climax, the he looks up curiously, and BOOM toothless is there, with the light fury looking inquisitively behind him. Toothless and luna still live in the hidden world, but they visitttt bc that existsssss. It’s not so gut wrenchingly sad, and the dragons still go to the hidden world. I mean realistically, toothless’ tail would need maintenance. Luna can become more comfortable around humans, and heal her trauma. All their kids can grow up together, and it would be rly cute and cool. The other dragon riders see theirs too, but it would be a happy side note as the main focus is toothless and hiccup. Boom- the movie still holds change, but now it’s not so sad.

Js to be clear- I don’t hate this movie 😭😭😭- I js feel it’s a) rly sad and heartwrenching but b) isn’t dealing with the sadness in a great way, and feels a bit rushed and ooc

making a part two to a previous post i made where i complained about the whole lesbian representation thing (once again so sorry for the long post, ima put a TLDR at the end) i saw on one of @holyblanchett ‘s asks someone mentioned that a show about middle aged women dealing with their trauma really started to stray away from that storyline, and how the story of sisterhood got pushed aside just to focus on the agatha/billy mentor/student storyline and i couldn’t agree more

also i know that this tackles some controversial as fuck topics and i know i’m gonna have people disagreeing with me and i realize i def could’ve said all of this in a better way but honestly, the anon really got me thinking and now i’m just even more pissed and this needs to be said (and ofc this is js my opinion)

anyways, the ironic thing is, i highly doubt jac and all the other writes and directors went in thinking this way. i do not, at all, believe that this was done on purpose. i just don’t believe that. what i do think that happened is that we, as a society, are so so so used to dealing with misogyny and we’re so used to hearing that younger is better that those sort of things just kind of stuck with us, whether or not we wanted it to.

the whole motherhood storyline with agatha was heartbreaking and should not be considered as just another way of fitting her a stereotypical woman category. motherhood is a beautiful thing and this was such an integral part of agatha’s story. however, we have been so accustomed to hearing that motherhood is a must-have for women that it’s become something that several (not all) people associate with “typical female roles” which is said because plenty of women/afab people enjoy being mothers and are excited to be a mother and motherhood is a beautiful thing (side note: if you are/want to be a mother that is amazing for you and don’t think i’m saying fuck motherhood cs that’s not what this is at all)

so, for me at least, it’s not the focus on agatha’s role as a mom that pisses me off. i love how her relationship with her son shows where some of her anger stems from, i love how well they incorporated that storyline into the show. but for me, it’s the that fact that motherhood is literally one of the biggest female stereotypes and like i said i don’t believe this was intentional what so ever but a story that basically says fuck stereotypes is being so stereotypical. like i said it sucks

and i know they did this to play into the whole maiden mother crone thing which was such a prominent thing in the show but still it doesn’t feel fair

also the whole “lesbian romance getting lowk pushed aside for a gay boy” thing co-insides with the whole “accidental sexist depections of womenhood situation” like i said before, we are so used to hearing that younger is better and billy is just that - young and he’s a boy. (i really really need to specify: no hate towards joe locke what so ever i truly mean it fuck u if ur hating he had nth to do with the writing and he does not deserve any hate)

so, yeah, like i said this probably could’ve been written better and i do believe any of this is one persons fault, no hate to ANY of the creators or cast they’re all amazing people and ultimately this show has been a huge step up when it comes to representation and has progressed so so much from so many other disney projects and shows and movies but still, this is js smth that bugged me sm and i rly felt it needed to be addressed in length cs this is js the same story, different show and i hate how accustomed society has become to stuff like this.

TLDR: people have become so used to gender roles and the idea that younger is better that even in a show that is a huge step up on disneys part when it comes to representation, we still have so far to go and i felt like this needed to be addressed but ultimately no hate to any of the cast or creators

Muichiro breaks up with you.

You felt all the tension you had been caring for day finally release at receiving a crow from Muichiro. Ever since you heard of the upper demons attacking Swordsmith Village where Muichiro was you had not got a minute of sleep.

Finally not only was he safe, but healed as well. You had missed him dearly when he was gone and you felt butterflies in your stomach when you read his letter.

His letter indicated he wanted to talk to you as soon as possible about something extremely important. You made your way over to the usual spot you and Muichiro spent time together. A comfortable spot under a shady tree by the lake.

It filled your heart with joy just knowing you’d be in his company soon. You wanted nothing more than to let him know how dear he really was to you.

It wasn’t that you didn’t know how dangerous being a demon slayer was before, but when hearing he was up against an upper demon reality harshly set in. Any day it was possible that the two of you would be spending your last moments together.

You were beginning to get lost in thought when Muichiro arrived and sat down next you.

“Tokito!” You exclaimed and tightly embraced the Hashira.

“Hello…” he said, remaining still and not returning your affections in any way. This made your heart sink. Was something wrong?

“I’m sorry, I suppose I should have asked how you were healing first,” you said carefully letting go of the Hashira.

“Oh my body is healed… but I’m not quite myself yet,” he said, cryptically.

“Is everything ok? What happened in the village?” You asked hastily, concern overflowing from you.

“Well it appears I’ve recovered all my memories,” Muichiro said gently placing a hand on his head.

“Tokito, that’s wonderful!” You exclaimed with a big grin. However, the Hashira demeanor remained unpleasant.

“Yes and no…” he said, zoning off. You stayed silent hoping for him to elaborate. “The memories I recovered weren’t pleasant ones…”

You searched for comforting words but nothing came to mind other than, “Tokito, I’m so sorry.”

“No you see I am here to apologize,” he said, turning to face you. “What I uncovered has been more than I can process… you see it is a burden all on its own and… I don’t think I can effectively maintain our relationship while I go through this.” He said, watching you carefully.

You felt as though time had stopped. You searched his eyes hoping to see some indication that this was a joke. However, the Hashira’s eyes were as stern as ever. You tried to speak but it felt as though the air had been ripped out of your lungs.

“T-Tokito- I can help,” you muttered, pitifully as tears formed in your eyes.

“I appreciate your concern but you see… this is something I wish to go through on my own.” He said, gently grabbing your hand. “Please do not be sad, you’ve done nothing wrong. You’re a magnificent person. I hope you understand.”

You searched for words but nothing came. What were you supposed to say? If he wanted to be alone then that was the end of the conversation, wasn’t it? You looked down at his hand holding yours and hot anger flashed through you. How dare he touch you while he’s ripping your heart in two. You forcefully pulled your hand back.

Muichiro winced in response. He knew you’d be hurt but seeing it now was too much to handle. He had enough trauma to process and he was already overflowing with pain.

“I respect your decision, but I don’t understand.” You finally spat your anger getting the best of you. “You have a lot to process, that’s fair, but I could have supported you through that. Nothing is easier alone, Tokito.”

“Everyone processes things differently,” he said pleadingly, hoping to help you understand. “Maybe one day when I’m better we can try again.”

Your anger was a burning rage now ready to fully unleash. Did he really think he could hurt you and expect you to forgive him so easily when he was ready to start again?

“You can’t rip my feelings to shreds and just expect me to wait around for you, Tokito. Things don’t always work on your terms.” You said with venom in your voice.

Muichiro took a deep breath, tears now lining his own eyes. “Yes, you’re right. I don’t expect you to wait around. You deserve to be happy and if you find someone else before I’m ready… well, I wish you the best.”

“I wish I could say the same to you,” you said again, even more nasty than the last time.

Your statement seemed to be the last blow Muichiro could take as the tears dropped freely from his eyes. He turned around not wanting to face you anymore. He tried to muster up what he could to say goodbye but the lump in his throat was too much, so he parted his way silently leaving you alone.

Now alone your anger melted into despair as sobs that sounded too strong to be your own escaped you. All this time you were excited to see Muichiro, but you never expected this outcome.

You walked home as sobs still escaped you from time to time. Finally approaching your house you froze in shock at the sight you were met with.

Your estate was covered in origami cranes of varying sizes and shapes. You blinked and rubbed your eyes believing you were imagining them. However, the cranes remained and the longer you looked the more you seemed to see.

You walked up to the door where a letter was hanging that read:

Till we meet again.

You grabbed the letter and held it to your chest tears streaming once more. I hope you didn’t take me seriously Muichiro you thought to yourself. Of course, I’d wait for you, I’d wait lifetimes for you. Please once you’re ready run back to me.
